She taps on the table waiting on his arrival. Her
booth is close to the entrance, she looks up every
time someone walks through the door. She fixates
on the décor, which is a bit bright. Mr Sandman,
bring me a dream, bung, bung, bung, bung plays on the
jukebox. She orders a strawberry milkshake.
Makes a deal with herself to leave if he hasn’t
arrived before the last sip, then thinks to herself
what hurt could one more milkshake do?
