TW: Suicidal Ideation
You informed me,
after watching a clip
from the evening news,
that it was selfish
for anyone
to ever
take their own life.
I sat in silence,
watching food roll around
the gaping hole in your head,
as you continued your rant
between pregnant breaths
of arrogance.
I nodded
as my hand
supported my jaw,
not in agreeance,
but in reverence to
the bottle of pills
you never noticed
were gone.
