THEY USED THE GENERAL SHERMAN FOR YOUR COFFIN

by Katelyn Botsford Tucker

A tinfoil lined sequoia

seemed extravagant considering

you were cremated.

I never did get your

ashes. The largest tree

in the world would

have seen her face

at the wake. Anyway,

it wasn’t her face. And

I’m not even sure that tree survived the fire.
