We leave pieces of ourselves everywhere
Hoping someone will notice the fragments
Hoping someone will say,
“Was that you I saw over there, lying on the floor?”
So we can nod and bare our hearts.
What a terrifying, excruciatingly wonderful ordeal it is
To be known.
