I live in a landscape
where people say –
I winter in X.
I summer in Y.
They ask if I know
who I am or where
I’m from or what I
do on cloudy days?
In snow, I ask limbs
if they are too lonely.
In heat, I ask spines
if I can shade w/ them.
Yes, I know the Y of X.
